I spent 15 days on a mind-blowing ‘Explore’ Tour in this amazing country in February 2014.
I had no idea what to expect and talk about a culture shock. The first few days I felt like I’d been transported to another planet, so foreign was this country. But as the days and miles past, I grew to love and appreciate every aspect from bustling market days under make shift canvas roofs full of an array of strange fruits, vegetables and freshly slaughtered goats, to magical camel riding in the glow of the orange setting sun, on the shifting sands of the Sahara Desert.
Explore, a UK based company, run small group adventure holidays in a way that positively impacts the people and places visited. The tours are extremely well organized with experienced guides and visit more of the ‘authentic’ places that you may not see otherwise. Prices are very reasonable and accommodation, while not ‘top end’, is very adequate. They also offer the same tour, but with a higher class of hotel, should you prefer.
This was the third tour I’d done with them and I don’t have any complaints about any of them.
